11. COMMUNICATION - There are five routes of communication to Mahanad from Kolkata or other Parts of the land. (A) Mogra Railway station is the 18th station at the distance of 47 km. from Howrah on the Howrah-Barddhaman Local Railway line and the 16l station at a distance of 60 km. from Barddhaman on the same line. First reach at Magra Railway station, thereafter from the left hand side of the station go to Mahanad by Auto-Rickshaw. It is the easiest route. (B) From the right side of Mogra Railway Station go to Kantapukur Bus stop on foot or by cycle-rickshaw. Then from Kantapukur to Mahanad Choumatha by bus or trekker i.e. auto-rickshaw. (C) From Pundooah Railway Station, 21st station 61 km. away from Howrah and 12th station 46 km. away from Barddhaman, on the Howrah-Barddhaman Local Railway Line, by bus or auto- rickshaw to Mahanad - Choumatha. (D) From Chuchura Railway station, 14th stationat 36 km. away from Howrah and 19th station at 71 km. away from Barddhaman first go to Bus stand then reach Mahanad Choumatha by bus. And (E) First reach Bandel Railway station, 16th station at a distance of 40 km. from Howrah and 17th station at 67 km. away from Barddhaman on Howrah-Barddhaman Railway Local Line or from Sealdah Railway Station to Bandel via Naihati. Then from Bandel Bus Stand to Mahanad Jat-tala by Bus Route No. 39.
